Meet the Team

At Employ and Relate, our team consists primarily of senior-level HR consultants who bring extensive generalist backgrounds to our client work. Each consultant maintains their own client portfolio outside of Employ and Relate, enriching our collective expertise with diverse industry experience.

Global Expertise

Our consultants span multiple countries and time zones, working flexible part-time hours that allow us to provide responsive support across different regions. This international composition brings valuable cultural perspectives and regional HR knowledge to our collective expertise.

Specialized Strengths

While our consultants possess broad HR knowledge, each has identified their professional “sweet spot”, areas where they excel and find the greatest satisfaction. Interestingly, as our team has grown, we’ve noticed a common thread: most of our consultants prefer to focus on areas outside of recruitment!

One of our core operational goals is to align each consultant with work that falls within their areas of expertise and passion. This strategic matching means that a single client may interact with multiple consultants, each handling different aspects of their HR needs according to their specialized strengths.

Collaborative Approach

The distinction between functioning as an HR consultant versus an HR employee is fundamental to our practice. Our consultants naturally gravitate toward nurturing roles and often strive for perfection in client service. This dedication to excellence makes understanding and maintaining appropriate boundaries particularly important.

Our team recognizes that effective communication is essential when multiple consultants collaborate to support a single client. They embrace diverse communication methods—verbal discussions, virtual meetings, collaborative software platforms, and other electronic tools—to ensure seamless coordination and consistent client service.

Professional Boundaries

As HR consulting professionals, we recognize the critical balance between providing exceptional service and establishing clear parameters with clients. Many clients have limited HR knowledge, which is precisely why they seek our expertise. When clients misunderstand contract boundaries or HR’s appropriate role, our consultants are expected to bridge this information gap with clarity and professionalism.

Our team members must remain vigilant about scope management. When client needs extend beyond their contracted services, consultants should refrain from providing that support and instead offer insights about more appropriate service options that would better address their requirements.
